La Guarida opens its doors on July 14, 1996 in a beautiful palace of the early twentieth century. Today is a multifamily building, offering a unique environment where the daily routine of residents mix with the tasks of a luxury restaurant. Location of the Oscar-nominated and winner of countless awards Cuban film "Fresa y Chocolate", told the story of friendship between the homosexual Diego and the young Communist David, that marked a before and after in Cuban society, with its great call against intolerance.
